Cleverly Everly were honoured to be chosen as the ‘House Band’ for BBC Somerset’s Emma Britton at the Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton. Emma presented a show on 12th Nov. in aid of Children in Need, similar in style and format to the Graham Norton Show with celebrity guests, Tommy Banner of the Wurzels and Gary Johnson, Yeovil Town football club manager. Other entertainment included a young choir and dancers accompanied by a talented young man on guitar, a ventriloquist with a dinosaur dummy had the audience in stitches. Emma was in good form and presented the sell out show in her usual inimitable style with plenty of laughter and even tried her hand at a brick laying challenge. Those of you who tune in to her Radio Somerset show will be familiar with her ‘Emma Tries’ section where she takes on all sorts of tasks and trials. Of course the show being for Children in Need wouldn’t be complete without Pudsey Bear and he delighted everyone in the bar posing for photographs before the show and with an appearance later on stage. We had a very enjoyable night and the audience were very appreciative of our musical sets between the various acts and events. We congratulate Emma on a great initiative and the amount raised for Children in Need will be announced on her Breakfast Show on Friday 12th November. You can also help this great cause too by donating what you can and details will be broadcast on the various radio and TV networks.
